What this site is
Another Panacea is a personal blog published as a static website. There is no content management system, no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics. I do not sell or share data about readers, because I do not collect any.
What is collected
Nothing by this site. The site does not set cookies, does not run tracking scripts, and does not have a comment form or any other way to submit information.
Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request (your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time) in order to deliver pages and defend against abuse. Cloudflare’s handling of that information is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. I do not receive per-visitor logs.
Fonts. Pages load two typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and the usual request headers when a page loads. Google’s handling of that is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Reading preferences
Some essays offer a Short or Full reading mode. Your choice is remembered in your own browser’s local storage so the essay reopens the way you left it. That setting never leaves your device and is not visible to me.
Historical comments
Comments were accepted on this blog until 2026 and remain published as part of the archive, exactly as they appeared: the commenter’s chosen name, the website they gave (if any), the date, and the text. Email addresses and IP addresses that WordPress had stored alongside those comments were not carried over and are not present anywhere on this site. New comments are not accepted.
If you left a comment in the past and want it removed or your name changed, email me and I will do it.
Links to other sites
Posts link to external websites, and the banner at the top of each page links to a separate service of mine. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites; their own policies apply once you leave this one.
Your rights
Because this site holds no data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, or export. The one exception is a historical comment you wrote, which I will remove or amend on request. Readers in the European Union have these rights under the GDPR, and California residents under the CCPA; everyone else has them here anyway.
